Cafés with power outlets and fast Wi-Fi: how to spot them
A simple system to decide in 30 seconds if a café can host a long work session.
Not every café is a work café. Some pretty spots kill your battery in an hour and pipe loud music into every corner. Below are the criteria full-time remote workers actually use.
Three primary signals
- Wi-Fi at least `Good` — otherwise Zoom will drop
- Outlets `Some` or `Many` — enough for a 4+ hour session
- Noise `Quiet` or `Moderate` if you take calls
Secondary but important
- Tables: wide, stable, not bar stools
- Light: daylight plus evening lamps
- AC in summer, heating in winter
- Bathroom access and free water
How to filter on SpotDesk
Every place card shows Wi-Fi, outlets and noise with the same icons — you can compare two options in a glance. Reviews often reveal peak hours and the best table in the room.
